Requirement & Responsibility :

Our client is a leading household, furniture and sanitary store in Yogyakarta, expanding its business. They are looking for a talented and experienced General Manager of Sales & Marketing to lead their sales & marketing department. The candidate needs a self-motivated professional with proven managerial experience and an outstanding sales & marketing/digital marketing track record. In this position, you will be responsible for meeting their annual targets within assigned regions and accounts. The role will be reporting to the Head of the Company, and the candidate will be stationed in Yogyakarta.

Area Responsibilities :

Sales : 

  • Attain sales, profit and performance objectives for the defined sales region.
  • Analyze retailer and industry conditions utilizing strong business acumen skills and identify opportunities that drive business results.
  • Establish market share and volume goals with each account and develop specific action plans to reach those goals.
  • Participate in sales planning and development of business plans, market strategies, goals, sales forecasts, collateral and selling expenses, and budgets.
  • Advise field sales and corporate personnel regarding market trends, competitive information, sales goals, current performance measurements, etc.
  • Recommend, suggest, and structure programs that will create increased business opportunities.
  • Analyze each account and formulate a specific plan of action to achieve/exceed sales plan/budget.

  • Communicate and coordinate activities regularly with the appropriate internal business partners as well as the sales management team to resolve or avoid problems relating to the matters affecting business in the region.

Marketing/Digital Marketing :

  • Serve as the Head of Marketing and Content Strategist for Company annual, seasonal, and other content planning across all categories.
  • Recommend marketing strategies to drive revenue, brand preference and enable sell-in of new verticals via annual situation assessment tailored to each Wholesale (WH) account.
  • Advise on creative campaign execution, content strategy, site experience, & in-store merchandising to ensure alignment with Brand and seamless communication touchpoints.
  • Manage marketing budget to drive the business and track progress against those plans.
  • Oversee creative development of all marketing materials to support relevant marketing.
  • Lead cross-functional teams across Marketing, Creative, Media and E-commerce to ensure the brand/company message is communicated clearly and effectively across all channels to the consumers.
  • Lead content briefings, including developing the brief, inspiring great work and keeping the team on time and on budget.

Qualification & Requirements :

  • Male/Female, min. Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration or a relevant field.
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role (preferred in the Retail industry)
  • In-depth knowledge of sales & marketing techniques and best practices, both in-store and out-store.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Experience in management would be advantageous.
  • Capacity to manage various projects and work to tight deadlines.
  • Excellent negotiation and leadership skills.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Expertise in client relationships, prospecting skills, creativity and had a strong target-oriented.
  • Proven ability to learn and understand company policies and procedures.
  • Working hours : Monday to Friday, from 08.15 – 16.30, and Saturday from 08.15 – 13.30.
